This Privacy Policy describes how Aviate Technologies (“Aviate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or contact us. This is template language — have counsel review it before launch and replace the placeholders below.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide. When you submit our contact form or apply for a role, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address, company, and message.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Client portal sign-in. If you are an active client using our portal, we receive basic account details from Microsoft when you sign in — your name, email address, and organization — which we use to identify you and control access.
  • Arcade scores. If you post a score from one of our games, we store the name you enter and your score, which are shown publicly on that game's leaderboard, along with the date and your IP address (used only to limit abuse). If you choose to include your email address, we store it too — it is never shown on the board and is used only if we reach out to you about your score or our services.

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide requested services
  • To evaluate employment applications
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website
  • To comply with legal obligations

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. We share information only with service providers who help us operate this site (such as hosting providers), and only as needed to do so.

Cookies and preferences

This site stores your light/dark mode preference in your browser's local storage; that preference never leaves your device. Our arcade games store your best scores, sound setting, and the name you last posted with in the same way, and those never leave your device either. If you sign in to the client portal, essential cookies are set to keep your session signed in and secure — these are required for authentication to work and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Our contact form and arcade score posts use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam; the verification is processed by Cloudflare and is not used for advertising. We use no analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Client portal and Microsoft sign-in

Our client portal is available to active clients only, by invitation. Sign-in is handled by Microsoft (Entra ID): you authenticate directly with Microsoft using your work account, and we never receive or store your password. After a successful sign-in, Microsoft shares basic profile details with us — your name, email address, and organizational identifiers — which we use to verify who you are, control access to your engagement information, and personalize the portal.

Your use of Microsoft sign-in is also governed by Microsoft's own privacy statement. Portal access is granted per person and can be revoked at any time, including when your engagement with us ends.

Data retention

We keep contact inquiries as long as needed to respond and maintain our business records, and job applications for the period required by applicable employment law. Client portal account and access records are kept for the duration of your engagement with us and as needed for our business records afterward. Arcade leaderboard entries are kept while the board is running. You may request deletion of any of this at any time, including removal of a leaderboard entry.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS across the entire site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
